posting a Reel!
Before creating your Reels, we’d like to share some things to do to ensure your Reels gets maximum reach!
- High-quality photos and videos are a must! (if you are using an iPhone to take videos of your products make sure to change the settings to 4K) settings>>camera>>record video>>4K at 30 fps or higher
- Good lighting – shoot near a window where you can get natural light or make sure the room is well lit
- Add a call to action to the first line of your caption (check the next slide for examples)
- 3-7 Hashtags max – keep it to your niche to help the algorithm push your content to the right people
- Full-screen content – make sure your photos and videos fill the entire frame (shoot your content vertically)
How to boost your Instagram engagement
in 10 Minutes
Here’s a quick hack, using Instagram stories, to boost engagement on reels!
1. Go to stories and create a poll
2. Wait 10 minutes
3. Publish your reel
4. Share your reels to stories (so that it’s just after your poll)
Some poll ideas to try:
- We’d like to get to know you (this or that, coffee or tea, desktop or mobile, product 1 or product 2, color 1 or color 2)
- Would you like to see some BTS from today? (Yes or emoji)
- What do you think this is for? (show a glimpse of your product and let people guess its function)
- Are you ready for our new collection/sale/promotion?
- Can you guess what we are releasing next? (give some clues in the picture)
- Can you guess what I’m making/creating today? (give some clues in the picture)
